Es ist wie im Märchen! Eine Aussicht übers weite Land, der Schlossgarten gepflegt und naturbelassen, die Küche vom Feinsten und Zimmer, die Orte sind zum Wohlfühlen. Der Schlossherr Marty setzt dem i noch den Punkt drauf. Er verkörpert die Mischung von dem, was das Chateau de Vaulx in seinen Mauern alles schon erlebt hat.Oft macht es den Anschein, dass mancherorts im und um das Haus die Zeit still steht, um aber sofort wieder, in moderner Art, aufzuwachen. Difficile de rajouter quelque chose de plus aux commentaires que j’ai pu lire ici. Voilà un endroit que l'on a envie de recommander ... mais pas trop pour pouvoir en garder une part d'exclusivité tellement l’accueil est chaleureux le château magnifique la vue sur la région splendide !Le petit plus par les jours de grosses chaleurs c’est la splendide piscine (nouvelle) construite avec des matériaux s'intégrantparfaitement dans le décor environnant :-) Au plaisir de revoir très vite notre hôte Marty :-)www.tripadvisor.com, Jacques, 28 juillet 2013
We loved the Chateau de Vaulx. Located in the Charolais-Brionnais region of France, this wonderfully funky chateau is a perfect place for a romantic getaway. Still in the process of being restored, the available rooms are very large and clean with wonderfully updated bath facilities. We stayed in "La chambre Duchêne" which was very nice. Marty, the host and co-owner, is delightful and so willing toexplain the history of the Chateau and the restoration process. The scenery from the grounds was breathtaking, even on a rainy spring day. We would also recommend table d'hôtes -- Marty is an excellent cook -- with dinner served in the dining room with other guests. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our meal with a delightful Dutch family.
