Vaulx aurait été lié à la famille Choiseul jusqu’au XVe siècle. Selon l'abbé Claude Courtépée, Chizeuil serait une déformation de Choiseul.

A must if you are looking to stay in this region

This is a must stay venue if you are looking to stay in this region. We booked an overnight stopover at Chateau de Vaulx this past Saturday night on our way to Samoens, and were so pleased that we stayed with Marty & Team. The location and venue are stunning and enchanting. We all enjoyed the chance to unwind in the swimming pool and Marty recommended and booked for us

great restaurant nearby to eat that night. The family room we stayed in for the night was spacious and perfectly suited for 2 adults and 2 children, with en suite facilities. The chateau has been sympathetically restored over the years, and the attention to detail is very impressive. It feels like a real "home from home". If you are looking for a stay in this area, forget the rest and book the best here. We will definitely return and stay longer next time, and will recommend this venue to all our friends and family. The best place I have ever stayed

Wow. What a bed and breakfast. Marty is the perfect host, making us feel at home, and arranging a light lunch for our 10 year old son as soon as we arrived. We booked in for two sittings of dinner, so that our son could eat early and we could put him to bed and have a grown up dinner in the dining room with our fellow guests. The whole chateau is decorated by interior design expert Marty,

and looks it. Our room was in keeping with the age of the building, interestingly furnished, yet oh so comfy. The modern bathroom appealed after 10 days on a canal boat! The bed linens are divine. My only regret is that we booked in for just a single night stay. The surrounding area is beautiful and I would have loved to have stayed longer at this beautiful place and be spoiled. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful; croissants, yoghurt, ham, cheeses, juice, tea, coffee. The dinner was fine-dining standard. The best place I have ever stayed.
