Chateau with a view!

We stayed at the Chateau de Vaulx in July for two nights on our way to the alps, this lovely rustic chateau is set on top of the beautiful hills of the charollais region, attractions you can visit are Cluny cathedral, vineyards in Macon, and the burgundy region. We stayed in the suite Geoffray, which has in my opinion the best view of the hills and villages around. Marty is a superb cook and a

great host, drinks were offered to us on our arrival as a welcome. The breakfast served to us was excellent. This place is perfect to relax and read a book after the hustle and bustle of Paris... Would recommend to anyone!!! Only comment would be fun to have a pool available.

A must if you are looking to stay in this region

This is a must stay venue if you are looking to stay in this region. We booked an overnight stopover at Chateau de Vaulx this past Saturday night on our way to Samoens, and were so pleased that we stayed with Marty & Team. The location and venue are stunning and enchanting. We all enjoyed the chance to unwind in the swimming pool and Marty recommended and booked for us

great restaurant nearby to eat that night. The family room we stayed in for the night was spacious and perfectly suited for 2 adults and 2 children, with en suite facilities. The chateau has been sympathetically restored over the years, and the attention to detail is very impressive. It feels like a real "home from home". If you are looking for a stay in this area, forget the rest and book the best here. We will definitely return and stay longer next time, and will recommend this venue to all our friends and family. Une atmosphère mêlant esprit classique et baroque, teintes mates et matières naturelles, à quelques éléments plus campagne. Un lieu où l'on se sent d'emblée bien et heureux, du matin au soir, autour de tables généreuses et raffinées.
